Abstract Art is my passion. I create my artwork using watercolor, acrylics, collage elements and other forms of mixed media. I do mostly non-representational art, but occasionally do abstract versions of some of my favorite motifs (windows and doors and orbs). I like the freedom of abstract art not only from the creation point of view, but even as a beholder. I see it as a meditation, I hope it gives the viewer a little bit of joy or peace.
I am mostly self- taught, but I love to learn from others as the opportunity presents. I live and work in Roxbury, Vermont, which is one of the most rural places in a very rural state. I show my work in Central Vermont and the Burlington area. Some of the places that you can see my work from time to time is Montpelier City Center, Studio Place Arts, Burlington Art Hop and various scheduled group and individual exhibits.
I have exhibited at the S.P.A.C.E. Gallery on Pine St. in Burlington, VT; Studio Place Arts in Barre, VT; Montpelier City Center, Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville, VT and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, VT. I have also begun to exhibit in Florida.
I was president of the Art Resource Association (
www.artresourceassociation.com), which is an group of artists supporting and promoting art in Central Vermont.
I am hoping that you will get an idea of my art by looking at this website. Contact me if you are interested in any original art or a gliclee print. Some of the smaller pieces are for sale and easily shipped for a very small fee. When you see the prices, note that the art is framed and matted with archival materials, if you were to just want the matted work, subtract $40. As you will see, I am committed to making art affordable.
